The breakthrough came as expected: FC Den Bosch ended a losing streak and finally scored points aftera draw with FC Volendam 1:1.
The previous two matches weren’t successful for FC Den Bosch. The team lost 2 two away games in a row, and the fans began to worry about whether their players didn’t fall into the crisis. Fortunately, the match schedule brought the home match to the table, and it’s always easier to return to the right track with the support of own fans.
On Friday, February 8, FC Den Bosch faced FC Volendam on its own ground. It was a difficult match for the hosts. The lower rated rival put the bar high and to the break the guests were leading 1:0. On 36th minute, Deul scored the goal. FC Den Bosch equalized just after resuming the game: at 52th minute Blummel defeated the goalie of FC Volendam.
Until the end of the match, there was a tough fight on the pitch, which is why this point should be respected. Especially since it is getting crowdy at the top of the table in the Eerste Divisie. Twente Enschede is the leader with 53 points, which in the last matches played great and took the chance to build significant advantage over rest of the teams. FC Den Bosch (47 points) is in second place and must work hard to regain the lead because only the leader will get a direct to the Eeredivisie.
