Business Partner of VfB Stuttgart

Business Partner of VfB Stuttgart

In May 2018, FutureNet became an official business partner in sports cooperation between German 1. Bundesliga football team VfB Stuttgart.

VfB Stuttgart is one of the most recognizable football clubs in Germany. Established in 1893, it has great tradition and respect among fans of German football. VfB Stuttgart won German championship 5 times, four times was second and three times the team finished third in 1. Bundesliga. The team reached other successes in national cup tournaments: it won German Cup three times and once it was the winner of German Supercup.

Bundesliga, which is the highest class of football games in Germany, was established in 1963. Since then, VfB Stuttgart spent only three seasons in the lower league. There are not too many football teams in Germany which can boast of similar success.

During all these years, VfB Stuttgart attracted many excellent players. Just to mention Cacau, Kevin Kuranyi, Giovanne Elber, Andreas Müller, Jens Lehmann, Philipp Lahm, Mario Gomez, Jürgen Klinsmann, Aleksandar Hleb or Markus Babbel. Each of these players has a well-deserved place in the history of football in Europe and in the world. And each of them was a player of VfB Stuttgart.

VfB Stuttgart on the verge of staying in German Bundesliga

In the final part of the German Bundesliga season, VfB Stuttgart still has to fight to secure a place in the best league in the country. The Stuttgart team must score points in a match against FC Augsburg to improve their situation in the table. There are 4 series of games left by the end of the current Bundesliga season. The league enters its key phase. At the top of the table, there is a amazing fight for the German championship between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, and also for the place in the group stage of the Champions League. But the situation at the bottom of the table is also interesting. Today we know that Hannover 96 (14 points) has practically no chance to stay in the 1. Bundesliga, and 1. FC Nuernberg (18 points) will have a very difficult task to do. However, VfB Stuttgart must be very careful with the team from Nuremberg. VfB currently has 18 points, which is 3 more than its neighbor from the table. If the season ended now, VfB would play in the Bundesliga playoffs, and FC Nuernberg would have fallen to the 2nd Bundesliga. But 3 points of difference is a distance that is easy to make up. That's why VfB Stuttgart can't afford to lose points because the rival isn't asleep. FC Augsburg has been running a difficult season. It has only 28 points and sits on the 14th place in the table and was in danger of relegation to the lower league once. Happily for the team, this risk has been moved away. Now FC Augsburg is likely to stay in the 1st Bundesliga. It's also worth to mention that this team has several very good players, experienced even in their national teams. It's young Dutch defender Jeffrey Gouweleeuw (worth around 12 million Euro), left defender Phillip Max (worth around 18 million Euro), Austrian striker Michael Gregoritsch (worth 16 million Euro) and striker from Iceland Alfred Finnbogason (10 goals this season, current market price: 15 million Euro).  In previous matches against FC Augusburg, VfB Stuttgart has proved that it knows how to handle this opponent. VfB remains unbeaten with FC Augsburg in 3 last games with this team. It may be the crucial fact before this game. And VfB needs to score even a single point in Augsburg, as the situation in the table is still far from comfortable. - We’ll be prepared for the special nature of the game and the ferocious atmosphere on Saturday. It’s the duty of every individual to give their best for the club and that’s what the team will do - says Markus Weinzierl, the coach of VfB Stuttgart, quoted by the official website of the club.

VfB Stuttgart - Bayer 04 Leverkusen 0:1

VfB Stuttgart lost with Bayer 04 Leverkusen 0:1 at home and still has to fight hard to keep the place in German 1st Bundesliga. Before the game against Bayer 04, VfB Stuttgart had a great streak: 3 games without a loss on its own Mercedes Arena. But every series ends sometimes. The hosts had a great first half when they were the equal opponent for the favoured Bayer. But the team from Leverkusen had the significant advantage which is visible in the post-game stats. Bayer was in control with the ball for 69% of game time, took 17 shots on goal (with 4 accurate), and was also better in passing the ball (aroudn 84% accuracy). With such a strong background, it was a matter of time when Bayer 04 score. And it happened in the 64th minute when Havertz scored from the penalty kick. Then the guests focused on defending the good result and VfB Stuttgart had no idea to find a hole in the opponent defense. And in the additional time, Santiago Ascibar received red card. Currently, VfB Stuttgart has 21 points and holds 16th place in the Bundesliga table. If the season ended today, VfB would have to play in the play-off round with the 3rd team from 2nd German Bundesliga. But there are still 5 series of games to go and VfB have only 3 points advantage over FC Nuernberg. On the other hand, Schalke 04 Gelsenkirchen holds the 15th place - the last free from relegation. It all shows that VfB needs to focus on the fight to avoid relegation, as it will be hard to jump higher in the table.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. VfB Stuttgart: great football show is expected

This season, the Bundesliga doesn't have many teams as strong as Eintracht Frankfurt. Currently, the team from Frankfurt has 46 points and holds the 5th place in the table. It has no chance of winning the German championship, because only Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are left in the fight for the title. But Eintracht currently only loses 3 points to the 3rd place, so it has a real chance to finish on the podium. Its form in recent matches indicates that Eintracht takes this task very seriously: won 4 from 5 recent games.  It's also worth noting that Eintracht remains in the game not only in the Bundesliga. In the middle of March, Eintracht defeated Inter Milan in the 1/8 final of UEFA Europa League, after a win in the key match at the difficult San Siro stadium in Milan. This result shows the strength of the Eintracht and it seems that in the next round of European games this team will be a tough opponent for everyone.  In Bundesliga, two players of Eintracht sits on the very top of the list of league's top strikers. Luka Jović (15 goals in 24 games) is currently the third-best scorer and Sebastien Haller added 14 goals. In the squad of Eintracht, there are other players who are well-known and respected in the world of football. Just to mention goalie Kevin Trapp, centre back Evan N'Dicka, winger Filip Kostic, playmaker Mijat Gacinovic and Ante Rebic. Each player mentioned above is worth more than 10 Million Euros and has a great chance to jump to the European top from Eintracht to even stronger club.  As you can see, it will be a very tough challenge for VfB Stuttgart to compete with such a strong opponent. In November 2018, Eintracht came to Stuttgart and outscored VfB on Mercedes Arena 3:0. In the away game, it will be even harder to get a good result. But Daniel Didavi from the Stuttgart team explains that he and his colleagues believe that they can be a bitter pill to swallow for Eintracht.  - They’re having an excellent season and they’re on a roll. But we’ve been tough to play against in recent games, though, and that’s how we want to perform in Frankfurt - explains the experienced player of VfB Stuttgart, quoted on the club's official website.  It's also worth to mention that VfB has a quite safe advantage over the direct relegation from Bundesliga zone, where currently Hannover 96 and FC Nuernberg are stucked. VfB has around 6 points advantage and also loses only 3 points to Schalke 04 Gelsenkirchen whichs sits on the last secure spot in the table. With even a draw in Frankfurt, VfB could improve significantly its position in the league.

Important result scored by VfB Stuttgart

A very valuable point scored by VfB Stuttgart aftera 1:1 draw with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim! This result can help a lot in the fight to secure the place in German Bundesliga. In this game, VfB proved how important in football the consistency in the game is. In a game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheinm, the team led by coach Markus Weinzierl had 2 accurate shots on the opponent's goal. One of these shots was turned into a goal: in the 66th minute, Steven Zuber equalized the score. It was a shot worth a point, as VfB didn't allow TSG 1899 to score again. In the first half, the team from Hoffenheim took control over the game just before the break. In the 42nd minute, Andrej Kramarić opened the score and gave the lead to his team. This Croatian striker is among the Bundesliga top scorers, and in the game against VfB, he proved his quality once again this season. During this game, TSG 1899 had a significant advantage. It had 21 shots on goal (with 8 of them accurate), had the ball for 61% time of the game, and was passing the ball with accuracy reaching 81%. These numbers are solid, and also show how strong TSG 1899 was in this game. Despite this advantage of the opponent, VfB played its own game. Players from Stuttgart made up the loss from the first half, withstood the pressure, were very effective and took their chance. It all paid off with a precious point made by a 1:1 draw against a strong opponent.

Borussia Dortmund was too strong for VfB Stuttgart

Borrusia Dortmund was just too strong for VfB Stuttgart. Yellow-Blacks won with VfB 3:1. The team from Stuttgart still has to fight hard to maintain the place in German Bundesliga. This season, Borussia Dortmund is one of the strongest teams in Bundesliga. After a quite poor last season, which Borussia ended on 4th place, the team led by coach Lucien Favre wants to reach for the success. In 2018, it all seemed like Borussia is on the perfect way to reach its dreams. But after the short winter break, something got stuck in Borussia's performance, as the team was eliminated from both German Cup and Champions League. And in the league, it lost its advantage over Bayern Munich and now both teams have the same number of points. It all drops a little light to the context of the game against VfB Stuttgart. Borussia had to win because the loss of points could put the team into trouble. And Borussia proved its strength. ln this game, Borussia took 18 shots on VfB's goal, and 8 of them were accurate. Borussia players had the ball for 76% (!) of game time, and also had around 800 passes (with accuracy reaching 90%). On the other hand, VfB had only 1 accurate shot which finished with a goal. The team of coach Markus Weinzierl had only 267 passes. It all shows the scale of Borussia's dominance. VfB Stuttgart deserves to be honored because it managed to handle the rival's pressure through the most of the game. Borussia was able to score only after an hour, when Marco Reus scored from the penalty kick in the 62th minute. Then VfB equalized in the 71th minute, after a goal scored by Marc-Oliver Kempf. The sensation was coming to the Signal Iduna Park stadium in Dortmund but Borussia scored again, even twice: Paco Alcacer restored the lead in the 82nd minute and Christian Pulisic established the final score to 3:1 after scoring in the additional time.

Serious clash with the Bundesliga leader. VfB Stuttgart faces Borussia Dortmund

One of the most difficult challenges this season is waiting for VfB Stuttgart! On Saturday, March 9, the team from Stuttgart faces Borussia Dortmund, the current leader of the German Bundesliga. The fight for the German championship has just got very hot. Borussia Dortmund had a big advantage, but in recent games had a drop of form. From February 2019, the team from Dortmund had a few slips and surprising results: draw with Hoffenheim 1899 and with average FC Nuernberg, defead with FC Augsburg. Borussia also was thrown away from the German Cup by Werder Bremen and from the Champions League by Tottenham Hotspur. As a result, the lead of Borussia is now only in the memories, and Bayern Munich made up the loss and currently has the same number of points. This means that the battle for the German championship has been opened again. When it comes to the game against VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Dortmund will undoubtedly be the favorite of this match. The team lead by coach Lucien Favre team will play annoyed and want to prove something to their fans. Secondly, Borussia is being strongly pushed by Bayern Munich, so there is no room for mistake. Thirdly, Borussia is still a very strong team, and in October VfB Stuttgart felt it by itself, losing 0:4 on its own pitch. On the other hand, it's worth remembering that the team from Stuttgart recently crashed Hannover 96 5:1 and signaled that its shape is getting better. That's why playing without pressure in Dortmund can be a big advantage for VfB. An who knows - maybe it will be the key to making a surprise and win with Borussia?

A great victory for VfB Stuttgart!

A great victory for VfB Stuttgart at the crucial moment of the Bundesliga season! VfB beat Hannover 96 5:1 and took a very big step ahead in the fight to keep the place in the best league in Germany. Before this match, VfB Stuttgart only had 2 points advantage over Hannover 96, and both teams were close neighbors in the table. A possible defeat could complicate the life of the team from Stuttgart and put it on danger. But the VfB' players didn't allow trouble to come around. The team led by coach Markus Weinzierl played its best match of the season and pitched the rival, leaving him no centimeter room for hope that it can reach anything in Stuttgart on Sunday's evening. The result of the match was opened by Mario Gomez in the 4th minute. The next blows belonged to VfB Stuttgart, and Ozan Kabak hit twice: at first in the 16th minute, and then in 45th minute, shooting the goal to the locker room. In the 68th minute, Jonathan gave the guest team some shine of hope, scoring a goal and reducing the loss to 1:3. But then Steven Zuber from VfB Stuttgart took control: he scored 2 goals in 3 minutes and finished the demolition of the team from Hannover 96. When you look at the game stats, you may get an impression that it was an even show. VfB had the ball for 51% of the playing time, so this advantage wasn't very visible. But the home players had a great offensive flow in this match, and they shot 14 times on goal - with 8 shots which were accurate. On the other hand, the away team had only one accurate attempt on goal and immediately scored. 100% efficiency, but it wasn't enough to defeat the speeding locomotive from Stuttgart. Thanks to this win, VfB Stuttgart now has 19 points and loses 2 to FC Augsburg - the team from the 15th place, the last free from the relegation from the German Bundesliga. It's a distance which can be easily made up.

Crucial match of VfB Stuttgart

This will be one of the key matches of the VfB Stuttgart in current Bundesliga season. On Sunday, March 3, the team from Stuttgart will play the away match against Hannover 96. It will be the meeting of teams who are fighting to save the place in Bundesliga and are very close in the table. A quick look at the current situation in the Bundesliga table is enough to understand how important the match will be. VfB Stuttgart currently has 16 points and takes 16th place. Hannover 96 is in 17th place with 14 points. The winner of this match will increase its chances of remaining in the best league in Germany, and the defeated side will fall into very big trouble, and the struggle for maintenance may fail. Both teams have already played with each other this season: in October 2018, Hannover 96 defeated VfB Stuttgart 3:1. That's why now the team from Stuttgart will have to score at least 2 goals and keep clean sheet to have better balance on aggregate. This may be crucial if both teams will have the same number of points at the end of the season. In recent matches, VfB Stuttgart showed that its form is slowly improving. The team is still waiting for the first victory in 2019, but there are many signs of improvement in its overall performance. Coach Markus Weinzierl is trying to implement the new philosophy: his players don't have to be with the ball for most of the game time, but they must calculate well and make each contact with the ball most effective. This is one of the basics for optimism before the match against Hannover 96. The second is delivered by history. Both teams have played 57 matches so far. VfB won 25 of them, and it did well with Hannover 96 especially in its stadium (20 wins, 62 goals scored, 31 lost). If you believe the history statistics, then in this match the Mercedes Arena in Stuttgart can bring a lot of luck to the VfB team. Now it seems that eventual win number 26 for VfB may be one ot the most important ever, helping a lot in the battle for saving the place in Bundesliga.

Hard work paid off. VfB Stuttgart scored very important point in Bremen

There's was plenty of hard work and, but it paid off with a point gained after a very tough fight! VfB Stuttgart drew an away match against Werder Bremen 1:1 and took an important step on the road to maintaining a place in the German Bundesliga. It was a very difficult match for VfB Stuttgart, and the post-game numbers say it all. Werder was on the ball for 69% of the game time! The players from Bremen shot 15 times on the visitors' goal, they also had over twice as many ball passes (758 to 347). It shows that the hosts of this match showed great strength and skill. However, this wasn't enough to beat VfB Stuttgart. The guests played consistently, carefully in Bremen. They also had some luck, because in 1st minute Steven Zuber gave them the lead. It was a quick blow that surprised Werder a bit. However, the hosts recovered quickly and began to dominate the pitch. But managed to surprise the VfB team only once. In the 45th minute, Davy Klaassen defeated the goalkeeper of the Stuttgart team and equalized the state of the match. In the 2nd half, there was a lot of fighting on the pitch, but none of the teams scored another goal. In Bremen, the game was finished with a 1:1 draw and the point is very valuable for VfB Stuttgart. The team led by coach Markus Weinzierl must fight to get out of the Bundesliga relegation zone. Thanks to the draw in Bremen, VfB reduced the loss to FC Augsburg (the team from 15th place, the last secure in the league) to 2 points. Now it's important to keep the consistency in the game and work to fix all the weaknesses in the game. With that kind of attitude, the progress shall come.

VfB Stuttgart is aiming for the victory in Bremen

Another game, another challenge. On Friday, February 22, VfB Stuttgart will continue its search for the first win in 2019, clashing with Werder Bremen. In September 2018, VfB Stuttgart defeated Werder at Mercedes Arena 2:1. It's one of the 4 wins the Stuttgart team has achieved this season. There's no doubt that the repetition of this result would be very useful for VfB. The team of coach Markus Weinzierl is in a difficult situation. Its players work hard to improve the overall performance and playing style, , and progress is visible, but VfB still lacks points. Currently, VfB is on 16th place among 18 teams in Bundesliga, trailing with 3 points to FC Augsburg - the team from 15th, last place in the table free from relegation to 2. Bundesliga. It's not a high advantage, but VfB must win to start its journey higher in the table. However, this task won't be easy, because Werder is doing better than VfB during the season. The team from Bremen has 31 points and holds 10th place in the table. Werder won 8 games, two times more than VfB. However, it's worth noting that Werder can be beaten on his own stadium: its home balance this season is 4 wins, 4 draws and 3 loses so far. In addition, the Bremen team doesn't have a clear leader. Currently, its best scorer is 22-year-old Maximilian Eggestein, who scored 5 goals. It's also wort to point out that Werder has been continuously in the 1. Bundesliga since the 1980/1981 season. Werder also has a rich history: was a Bundesliga winner 4 times, also scored 7 silver and 5 bronze medals of the league. - They’re on a good run, they have good individual players, great fans and they’re still unbeaten this year. The club have made good progress under Frank Baumann and Florian Kohfeldt. They have a clear idea of who they are and how they play - explains Markus Weinzierl, the coach of VfB Stuttgart, quoted on the club's official website. In the Friday's game, VfB will miss only one key player: Timo Baumgartl is healing from concussion. On the other hand, important midfielder Dennis Aogo returns to the team after fully healing from a calf injury and coach Weinzierl will be able to use his skills on the pitch in Bremen.

VfB Stuttgart: improved game, there are reasons to be optimistic

VfB Stuttgart fought hard against RB Leipzig, but the higher-placed rival proved too strong. In the match of the 22nd round of games, VfB lost to RB Leipzig 1:3. The team from Stuttgart showed improved performance, compared to its previous games. VfB' players tried to play carefully, respected the ball and were attentive in defence. This idea worked for most of the match. The first goal in the match was scored quickly: in the 6th minute, Leipzig took the lead when Yussuf Poulsen scored. VfB quickly led to a draw: in the 16th minute, Steven Zuber scored from the penalty kick. The match was balanced up to 68 minutes. Later, the guests took the initiative. RB Leipzig restored the lead after Sabitzer's goal and in the 74th minute the result of the match at 3:1 for RB was determined by Poulsen's second goal. The defeat is painful, but the Stuttgart team was aware that it might lose points in this game. Despite the negative result, VfB players see some reasons for optimism. - Today’s performance definitely gives us strength. We stood shoulder to shoulder with a very good opponent. We were aggressive at the back and created good opportunities up front. We need to keep playing like this in the coming weeks - said Mario Gomez, striker of VfB Stuttgart, quoted by the club's official website.

VfB Stuttgart faces Red Bull Leipzig

After a poor game in Duesseldorf, where VfB Stuttgart lost with Fortuna 0:3, it’s time for the team from Stuttgart to show its better face. On Saturday, February 16, VfB will face RB Leipzig on its Mercedes Arena stadium. Upcoming months will be a hard time for VfB Stuttgart. The team led by coach Markus Weinzierl has only 15 points and currently holds 16 place out of 18 teams. If the season ends today, VfB would be relegated to the lower league. On the other hand, this team has many talented and experienced players in its squad. Of course, in football we’ve seen many examples of that even stronger teams could fall but when you have time, you must use it to avoid the worst scenario. For VfB Stuttgart, the time is still running away and the team still has to stand tall. Of course, it’s never easy to deal with such a high pressure. But VfB’ players have no choice: they must do their best to improve their situation in the league. FC Augsburg, the team from 15th place, currently has 18 points: 3 more than VfB Stuttgart. And Schalke 04 Gelsenkirchen has 22 points and is on 14th place. As you can see, the gap between VfB and teams from safe place in the table is growing. Now it’s the best moment to launch faster pace and to improve. On Saturday, February 16, VfB Stuttgart will host the game against RB Leipzig. This is definitely not a team with which you would like to play when you're in deep crisis. RB Leipzing has 38 points and currently holds 4th place in the table, and also trails by only 4 points to Borussia Moenchengladbach which is on 3rd place. Only Borussia Dortmund and reigning German champion Bayern Muenchen performs better this season, what means that RB Leipzig can be named as 4th power of the league. It's led by experienced coach Ralf Ragnick on the bench, and on the pitch has a few stars like Timo Werner, Bruma, Jean-Kevin Augustin, Willi Orban, Ibrahima Konate, Emil Forsberg or Yussuf Poulsen. Such an opponent can use every mistake to build advantage and score the goal. That's why VfB players will have to be very cautious, and also try to take the initiative on the pitch. - Leipzig are a very dynamic, very well organised team and they have lots of individual quality," said Weinzierl. "It's up to us to keep them as far away from our goal as possible - explains Markus Weinzierl, the coach of VfB Stuttgart, quoted on the club's official website. In VfB, Mario Gomez will returd for Saturday's game after a break forced by the red card by which he was punished 2 games ago. On the other hand, Nicolas Gonzalez will be absent - he was fined for 3 games after being ejected in the added time in the clash with Fortuna Duesselorf.

A match to quickly forget about

VfB Stuttgart will have to put a lot of hard work in the upcoming months to save its place in German Bundesliga. In the last league match, VfB lost away clash with Fortuna Duesseldorf 0:3. It was a bit strange game. If you look at the statistics, the VfB seems to be much better team. Players from Stuttgart team took 15 shots at Fortuna's goal, kept the ball for 57% of the playing time, and also had 499 passes (from which almost 80% was accurate). Nevertheless, the hosts managed to grab a full set of points. In 34. minute, the result of the match was opened by Karaman. But still one goal isn't a big problem and it can be made up easily. But just after the break, the hosts scored their second goal. In 49. minute, the result of the match was increased to 2:0 by goal scored by Fink. At the moment, Fortuna was in a comfortable situation, and VfB faced a very difficult task to make up 2 goals of loss. As you could imagine, the mission failed. In 85. minute Raman determined the result of the match at 3:0, andVfB lost not only the goal but also the player: in the addeitional time of the game Nikolas Gonzales was removed from the pitch with the the red card.

Very important game ahead of VfB Stuttgart

This will be one of the most important games of the VfB Stuttgart during the current Bundesliga season. On Saturday, February 10, the team from Stuttgart will play away match against Fortuna Duesseldorf. The stake is high: victory will allow VfB to gain valuable points, thanks to which it can break away from the relegation zone in the league. This season, VfB Stuttgart is fighting hard to keep the place among the best teams in Germany. It's a difficult task requires a lot of hard work and patience but the team doesn't give up and fights all the time. VfB' players have to do their best all the time, because the VfB situation in the table is difficult. The team has 15 points and takes 16th place out of 18 teams - the last in the relegation zone. The closest rival, currently FC Augsburg, has 18 points. Three points advantage is not much, but you must use every opportunity to reduce it. Fortuna Duesseldorf currently has 22 points and is in the 14th place. This shows how difficult the VfB Stuttgart situation is. The gap between the team from place 14 and place 16 there is 7 points, which is why you have to fight for victory in every game. That's why the Fortuna - VfB match will be so important for the team from Stuttgart. Three points will reduce the loss, and the defeat will make it harder for the team to continue its campaign. The team from Duesseldorf has many good players. It's worth mentioning striker Takashi Usami (Japan national player), Marcin Kamiński and Dawid Kownacki (both with experience in Polish national team, Kaminski is also on loan from VfB and Kownacki has just been loaned from Sampdoria Genoa, Italy), Michael Rensing (goalkeeper with rich experience from playing in Bayern Munich), Diego Contento, Jaroslav Drobny (goalie from Czechia with a lot of experience in playing in Europe; in the past, he played in English, Dutch and Greek league). Fortuna's coach is Friedhelm Funkel, one of the most experienced and still active managers in Germany. In this Bundesliga season, the team from Duesseldorf is not doing well, but considering its squad, this rival can't be disregarded. Fortuna will also benefit from playing with VfB in its own stadium. VfB Stuttgart with Fortuna will play with Fortuna without 2 important players. Dennis Aogo is injured, and Mario Gomez was dismissed from the pitch with red card in the previous game with SC Freiburg. Other players will be available on duty to coach Markus Weinzierl.

Bayern Munich too strong for VfB Stuttgart

The German Champion was definitely too strong: Bayern Munich defeated VfB Stuttgart 4:1. The team from Stuttgart remains without a victory in the Bundesliga in 2019. When you play with a team like Bayern, you have to reckon with the fact that even showing all the skills you might not win. Bayern is the current German champion and a team full of world stars like Robert Lewandowski, James Rodriguez, Arjen Robben or Thiago Alcantara. With that kind of staff, this team has no weak points and is very difficult to defeat. VfB Stuttgart, who lost 1: 4 in Munich, learned it in Sunday's game. This match was a quite even only until the break. In 5th minute, the hosts took the lead when Thiago scored. 20 minutes later Anastasios Donis equalized and durin the the break players from Stuttgart could've hoped they would win a bit in the Bavarian capital. After the break, Bayern washed out all of the dreams from their heads. The Bavarians were definitely better, which is proven not only by the final score but also in the post-game stats. Bayern was with the ball for 72% of the time, and also shot on the VfB goal 19 times, and the guests managed to attack only twice. Bayern also had 716 passes (of which 90% was accurate) with only 287 passes made by the VfB players. In 55th minute, Bayern returned to the lead, after an own goal of Christian Gentner. In the 71st minute, Leon Goretzka raised the score to 3:1, and 84th minute the final result of the match was determined on 4:1 by Robert Lewandowski. The greatest star of Polish national team was unlucky in this match because he missed the penalty kick for the first time in a few years, but managed to correct the mistake and defeated the VfB's goalkeeper.

VfB Stuttgart: there are signs of improvement, but there's still plenty of work to do

The 2019 started not as VfB Stuttgart wished to: with a loss against FSV Mainz 2:3. Due to this result, things are getting complicated for VfB in the league's table. It was a very specific match, as the post game stats shows. As a team, VfB took 28 shots on the rival's goal, of which 8 were accurate. When it comes to the time of possession of the ball, this number was also on the side of the hosts: the VfB players spent up to 62% of the game time with the ball. They also played very carefully with having exchanged almost 500 applications, and 80% of them were accurate. And although it's hard to believe, and despite having such a clear advantage, they lost with FSV Mainz 2:3 on its Mercedes Arena. The beginning of this match was unlucky for the hosts. In 22. Minute, Santiago Ascibar scored own goal and gave the guest side a lead. Six minutes later, Mateta raised the score to 2:0. As a result, the team from Mainz placed the hosts against the wall. After the break, the hosts couldn't threaten the opponent's goal for a long time. FSV Mainz was rarely on the ball, but the entire team defended wisely and carefully. It also checked for the chance to run a counter attack and it paid off: in the 72nd minute, Hack scored the third goal for the FSV in this match. It seemed that nothing would change this evening in Stuttgart. But the VfB team put everything on one card and started to attack. In the 83rd minute, Gonzalez scored a goal and two minutes later Kempf made his hit. At this point, the VfB had a rival on sight again, but it wasn't enough time to reach for a draw. Eventually, the first match of VfB Stuttgart in 2019 ended with a 2:3 defeat.

VfB Stuttgart is just about to start 2019 in Bundesliga

January 19, 3:30 p.m., Mercedes Arena in Stuttgart - on that day, VfB Stuttgart will launch its campaign in Bundesliga in 2019. In the club they believe that the next few months will be better than the first part of the season. Autumn was a difficult time for the VfB Stuttgart. In 17 games, the team from Stuttgart scored only 4 wins, 2 draws and lost 11 times! With such results, VfB was able to score only 14 points throughout the entire round and ended the past year on 16th place among 18 teams. It means that now the team is in the relegation zone, so in spring 2019 VfB' players will have to work very hard to save the place in the best league in Germany. In the middle of the round, VfB Stuttgart made a difficult decision to change the coach. Tayfun Korkut was sacked and Markus Weinzierl replaced him at the helm. The new coach began to shape the team in his own way, but the results were still unsatisfactory. However, the club noticed that the team is starting to make slight progress. In the winter 2019, coach Weinzierl got the time and the chance to prepare the team for the battle in spring in his own way. In addition, two new offensive players were signed by the team: Alexander Esswein from Hertha BSC Berlin and Steven Zuber from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Both men should hep fixing the biggest problem of the team: a weak performance in the offence. The first rival of VfB Stuttgart in 2019 will be 1. FSV Mainz. It is currently a middle-position team in the Bundesliga. The team has 21 points and spent the winter on 12th place in the table. Both teams have already met this season - in Mainz, FSV won 1:0 after a goal scored by Ujah. - We made the most of the ideal conditions at the training camp. I’m confident we’ll get off to a good start against Mainz. We’re looking forward to starting with a home game - says coach Markus Weinzierl, quoted by the official website of VfB Stuttgart.

Steven Zuber joined VfB Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart wants to have second part of the season in the Bundesliga held in spring 2019 to be better for the team than the autumn' performances. That's why the team is signing the new players. The latest transfer of VfB is Swiss player Steven Zuber. Steven Zuber is 27-years-old and plays as a winger. He is known for his physical strength, good technique and ambitious mentality. He was loaned to VfB Stuttgart for 6 months from another Bundesliga club, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. From 2014 in the Bundesliga he has played 82 matches, scored 7 goals and recorded 8 assists. He also played in Russia, at CSKA Moscow. The new football player of VfB Stuttgart has a lot of experience in international football. He played 21 times in the national team of Switzerland, in 2018 he played at the World Championships in Russia. In VfB Stuttgart, Steven Zuber will play with number 9 on the jersey. The club hopes that the Swiss national player will become an important part of the team's offensive game, which in the autumn was one of the weakest points of the team and main reason of results not as good as were expected.

Important transfer of VfB Stuttgart

The fans of VfB Stuttgart, German football team of which FutureNet is a business partner, have been expecting this decision for a long time. Frenchman Benjamin Pavard, one of the best team players of the team, decided to leave. From July 2019 he will play in Bayern Munich. Bayern will pay 35 million Euro for Pavard. The contract will become valid on 1 July 2019, before the start of the new Bundesliga season. At the Bavarian club, Pavard will replace defender Rafinhia, who decided to leave the club after the season. The Bayern bosses have great hopes for Pavard and believe that soon he will secure himself a confident place in the starting lineup. Beniamin Pavard moved to VfB Stuttgart in August 2016 from Lille OSC (France). The German club paid 5 million Euros for him. Since then, Pavard has played 48 matches for VfB so far. In 2018, as a player of French national team, he won the World Cup Championship at the Mundial in Russia. During the tournament, he was one of the best players in the team led by coach Didier Deschamps and won the interest of the best clubs in the world. In the end, it was Bayern Munich which convinced him to move. Beniamin Pavard will continue playing in VfB Stuttgart in the spring and will move to a club from Bavaria after the season ends.

Alexander Esswein joined VfB Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart has a new player. The club, of which FutureNet is the official business partner, signed on loan offensive midfielder Alexander Esswein from Hertha Berlin. The contract is valid until the end of the 2018/2019 season, with the option of permanent transfer. Alexander Esswein is 28-years-old and has extensive experience in the Bundesliga. In his career, he has played 172 matches in the best league in Germany. He performed in VfL Wolfsburg, 1. FC Nuernberg, FC Augsburg and Hertha Berlin. A few years ago, he also was a member of the youth representation of Germany. His current market value is estimated at 1 million Euro. The new VfB Stuttgart player has an offensive skills. He plays as a midfielder, but can also be a striker. He is supposed to help his new team to overcome its biggest problem this season. VfB is in fact the worst team in the Bundesliga in the classification of goals scored: it has 12. Due to this problem, unfortunately VfB Stuttgart is struggling in the league this season and is constantly fighting to not fall off the Bundesliga. – VfB Stuttgart are a big club, steeped in tradition and with a brilliant fan base, so I’m delighted to come here. I can not wait to get my teeth VfB – says Alexander Esswein on the official website of the club.

VfB Stuttgart is still looking for the better future

It's a difficult season for the VfB Stuttgart. The team must fight hard for every point, but it's not always successful. In the last series of matches, VfB lost an away game with VfL Wolfsburg 0:2. This match was settled before the break. The team from Wolfsburg needed just 20 minutes to ensure victory. In the 24th minute, the score sheet was opened by Guilavogui, and just before the break the advantage of "Wolves" was increased by goal scored by Weghorst. After the break, VfB Stuttgart coach Markus Weinzierl was looking for new solutions to improve his team's game. Erik Thommy, Daniel Didavi and Leon Dajaku appeared on the pitch. However, these changes didn't change anything and the team from Stuttgart had to deal with defeat. After the loss, VfB Stuttgart again fall to the relegation zone in the Bundesliga. Fortunately, the loss to rivals in the table is not large and future victories can help VfB get out of trouble.

Important win for VfB Stuttgart!

This victory tastes very sweet. VfB Stuttgart beat Hertha Berlin 2:1 and escaped from the relegation zone in the Bundesliga! The favorite of this match was the team from Berlin, which plays very well this season and takes a well-deserved place in the higher part of the table. But VfB Stuttgart, despite the poor start of the competition, shouldn't be underestimated. The team of which FutureNet is a business partner is working hard to leave the bottom of the table. And this consistent work pays off. The beginning of this match didn't go as the players from Stuttgart wish. In the 38th minute, Hertha took the lead when Mittelstadt scored. This result was kept until the break, and after changing sides, the team from Berlin controlled the situation for quite a long time. The game stats tells it all: Hertha was on the ball for 53% of the time and shot on VfB's goal 15 times. However, the team from Stuttgart managed to get out of trouble, and the experienced striker Mario Gomez played an important role. In the 64th minute of the match, the experienced former striker of the German national team equalized the result of the match on 1:1. Twelve minutes later Gomez added a second goal and led VfB to the lead. The Stuttgart team didn't give it until the referee's last whistle. After this victory, VfB Stuttgart has 14 points and takes 15th place in the table. The team loses only 3 points to SC Freiburg, which is currently in 12th place. So you can see that thanks to successive victories VfB can quickly jump to a safe place in the table and focus on the fight for a place in the middle of the competition.

Back on track. VfB Stuttgart - FC Augsburg 1:0

VfB Stuttgart had a rather rough start of the season. For some time they were on the bottom of Bundesliga's table. It got to a level where they simply had to bounce back. Their 1:0 win against 1. FC Augsburg might be a sign of things to come. It was a vital match for Stuttgart and a win that they desperately needed. Anastasios Donis became the hero of the match Andreas Beck's assist. VfB Stuttgart fought really hard to keep the score in their favor. - Obviously we're delighted with this win, which was important for everyone at the club. The team fought brilliantly. During the week we thought about what would be best against Augsburg and we decided to play with three at the back. I expected my team to be solid and they were. We want to take the momentum from this win and pick up more points in the coming weeks - says Markus Weinzierl, VfB Stuttgart's manager. The team is now on the 16th place in Bundesliga, has 11 points and trails with only 4 points to secure, 12th place in the league. It all means that VfB Stuttgart players will have a lot of hard work to do to move up in the table but there’s a clear vision that the team is able to reach this goal.

Important clash ahead of VfB Stuttgart

On Friday, November 23, football team VfB Stuttgart will meet Bayer 04 Leverkusen. This match will be very important for the team from Stuttgart. Victory can help it escape the Bundesliga relegation zone. Before the match, which will be played in Leverkusen, Bayer 04 has 11 points and takes 13th place in the table. VfB will come to Leverkusen as the last team in the league with 8 points). Teams that are above the VfB in the table have a small advantage, which means that victory will give the Stuttgart team a significant promotion. However, it won't be easy for VfB to win because Bayer - although this season is playing just average - is a team made up of many solid players, for example goalie Lukas Hradecky, defender Sven Bender or strikers: Karim Bellarabi, Paulinho or Julien Brandt. Bayer 04 coach is Heiko Herrlich, a former great striker, well known in the football world in Germany. As you can see, the team from Leverkusen - which played even in UEFA Champions League in previous years - has a lot of potential and it is difficult for any opponent to score even a draw with it. VfB Stuttgart coach Markus Weinzielr informs that in Leverkusen he will miss several important players in the composition. It's injured: Holger Badstuber and Daniel Didavi, as well as a few long-term absentees Alexander Meyer, Berkay Özcan and Borna Sosa. Anastasios Donis have been healing from the injury in the last couple of days and his involvement will be considered just before the game in Leverkusen.

VfB Stuttgart players on duties in their national teams

Two VfB Stuttgart players, Beniamin Pavard and Santiago Ascacibar, were nominated to national teams for the upcoming matches. Pavard will play two matches in the French national team. On Friday, November 16, he will play against the Netherlands in the UEFA League of Nations, and on November 20 he will compete against Uruguay in a friendly game. And Santiago Ascacibar, together with the Argentine team, will play in two sparrings with Mexico. Appearances in the national team are also waiting for young footballers of VfB Stuttgart. German youth player Timo Baumgartl will play in the German U-21 national team and David Kopacz was appointed to the U-21 in Poland.

VfB Stuttgart with a new coach on board

Markus Weinzierl will lead the VfB Stuttgart team. The 43 years-old coach has signed the contract until the end of June 2020. This season, his task will be to take away the team from the bottom of the Bundesliga table. After seven games of the season, VfB Stuttgart has 5 points and is last in the table. That's why the club's bosses decided it was time to change. They thanked coach Tayfun Korkut for their cooperation and hired Markus Weinzierl in his place. The 43-year-old as a football player played in the 2. Bundesliga teams. In his coach career, he worked in SSV Jahn Regensburg, FC Augsburg and Schalke 04 Gelsenkirchen. With FC Augsburg in the 2015/2016 season he won promotion to the UEFA Europa League. This is his biggest success in the coaching career so far. - We’ve signed a success-hungry coach, who knows the Bundesliga quite exactly and he also knows what our situation requires. Our discussions were very trusted and goal-oriented. We are convinced that we have signed the right head-coach for VfB in Markus Weinzierl. He will decisively develop our team further – explains Michael Reschke, sports director of VfB Stuttgart.

Hannover 96 - VfB Stuttgart 3:1

Ambition, fight and commitment sometimes is just not enough. VfB Stuttgart showed the character but lost to Hannover 96 1:3. The hosts have arranged this match in the first half with goals scored by Bobby Wood in the 30th and 45th minutes of the game. VfB answered right after the break - in the 50th minute, Mario Gomez scored the goal and have his team hope that the draw here might be possible. But in the end, it turned out that this evening footballers from Stuttgart just couldn't afford more. The hosts hit again, just before the end of the match. In the additional time, Ihlas Bebou determined the result of the match at 3:1 for the home team. After this defeat, VfB Stuttgart fell to the last place in the Bundesliga table. This means that the club is waiting for big changes, because the coach Tayfun Korkut lost his job. As the club states, this decision was made due to the lack of sports growth of the team. The name of the new coach will be presented within the next few days.

An important match before VfB Stuttgart

The long-awaited breakthrough has happened and now it's time to maintain a good form. Especially when it comes to fighting with a close neighbour from the league table. VfB Stuttgart will face Hannover 96 in an away game. For now, H96 is the worst team in the Bundesliga. In six games it didn't win even once and only twice drew. As a result, Hannover 96 holds the last place in the table. Even so, VfB doesn't have a big advantage over the rival: only 3 points. That's why this match is important: the defeat can bring the VfB closer to the last position, and the victory can be a boost to the middle zone in the table. Coach Tayfun Korkut doesn't have all players at his disposal. Dennis Aogo, Anastasios Donis, Marc Kempf, Alexander Meyer are injured players and are not likely to perform in Hannover. Denis Didavi, who has recently cured the injury, also complains about health. - In Hannover, VfB will be faced by a club experiencing a similar phase in the Bundesliga. I'm expecting a physically tough game - a striker of VfB Stuttgart Mario Gomez points out.

RB Leipzig - VfB Stuttgart 2:0

VfB Stuttgart is still waiting for its first win of the season. On Wednesday, the team led by coach Tayfun Korkut had a tough away game with RB Leipzig. In the previous matches of the season, RB played on the average level and now it's trailing to leading Bayern Munchen by 6 points. But RB Leipzig is always dangerous at own stadium. This is the lesson that VfB was taught on Wednesday. In the dying moments of the first half, RB took the lead surprisingly when Willi Orban scored. As they say in football when you lost a goal just before the break it's always hard to fight back. But VfB was doing its best to overturn the scenario. Coach Tayfun Korkut did changes early and send to the pitch in the 54th minute two reserve players: Gonzales and Badstuber. But it didn't work out. RB Leipzig managed to maintain the lead and in 80. minute Jean-Kevin Augustin made it 2:0 for RB Leipzig. The squad of VfB Stuttgart: Zieler – Maffeo (54. Badstuber), Pavard, Baumgartl, Sosa – Gentner, Ascacibar, Aogo, Thommy (78. Donis) – Akolo (54. Gonzalez), Gomez.

Goalless draw with Fortuna Düsseldorf

The first win is still to come. VfB Stuttgart had high hopes before the match against Fortuna Düsseldorf. With a support of more than 50,000 fans at the stadium, VfB wanted to dominate Fortuna and score its first three points of the season. Eventually, the game finished tied to a goalless draw. Fortuna proved that has good defensive abilities and managed to keep a clean sheet. On the other hand, VfB also performed good in defence but missed effectiveness in the offence. And the team managed by coach Tayfun Korkut drew its second match in a row. The squad of VfB Stuttgart: Zieler - Insua, Baumgartl, Pavard, Beck - Ascacibar, Castro, Akolo (85. Özcan), Akolo (57. Thommy), Gentner (74. Donis) - Gonzalez, Mario Gomes.

VfB wants to win for the first time

It's a difficult season start for the VfB Stuttgart. The team led by coach Tayfun Korkut is still waiting for the first win. In the previous three games, VfB managed to tie one game and lost two. On Friday, September 21, the team from Stuttgart will face Fortuna Düsseldorf - a newcomer in the league. Fortuna stepped into the season slightly better than VfB - before the match in Stuttgart, it has one win, one draw and one loss. With this balance, Fortuna holds 9th place in the league table while VfB Stuttgart is currently on 16th position. It's confirmed that VfB will have to play without three players who suffer from injuries: Marc Oliver Kempf, Borna Sosa and Daniel Didavi. - We are all really looking forward to the home game and want to secure the win - coach Tayfun Korkut clarifies.

SC Freiburg - VfB Stuttgart 3:3

It was a piece of great football! On Sunday, September 16, VfB Stuttgart played away game with SC Freiburg. A team from Stuttgart wanted to score its first points of the season after two defeats in two previous games. And the win was very close. Freiburg opened the game perfectly, after a goal scored by Gondorf in the first minute. With just a minute left to the break, VfB managed to tie the game after a goal scored by Insua. The beginning of the second half belonged to VfB. Mario Gomez shot the goal in 49. minute and gave the lead to its team. SC Freiburg replied just three minutes later and Gondorf scored his second goal of the game. In 56. minute, VfB came out to the lead again and again Mario Gomez was the one who scored. However, the hosts managed to fight back. In 81. minute, Waldschmidt tied the game again and established the final score to 3:3. The squad of the VfB Stuttgart: Zieler - Beck (86. Donis), Baumgartl, Pavard, Insua - Gentner (77. Badstuber), Castro (46. Akolo), Ascacibar, Aogo - Gomez, Gonzalez.

Time to return to the battles in Bundesleague

After the break for matches of national teams, it's time to return to the pitch in Bundesleague. On Saturday, September 16 VfB Stuttgart will play its next and - what needs to be pointed out - a very prestigious game against SC Freiburg. It will be Baden-Württemberg derby. This game will be played in Freiburg and start at 6 p.m. Coach Tayfun Korkut and his men didn't start well the new season with two defeats in two games and VfB is currently on the last place in the league table. So, it's time to break the bad series and score first three points.

Benjamin Pavard appointed to the French national team

Benjamin Pavard, a 22-year-old defender from the VfB Stuttgart, was appointed to the French football national team for the upcoming games in the UEFA's European League of Nations. On September 6, France - reigning world champion - will face Germany and three days later its next rival will be the Netherlands. Pavard, who just a few weeks ago started a new season with the VfB, should play important role in the French team.

Bayern München too strong for VfB Stuttgart

It wasn't a good day for the VfB Stuttgart. The team lead by coach Tayfun Korkut had a bitter pill to swallow due to 0:3 loss to Bayern München. This defeat is even more painful because VfB played its first game of the season in front of their own crowd. Unfortunately, it wasn't helpful and reign champions from München were out of reach for VfB. Goals for Bayern München: Goretzka (37.), Lewandowski (62.), Müller (76.). VfB played this game in the following squad: Zieler - Insua, Aogo, Baumgartl, Maffeo, Pavard - Ascacibar, Castro (78. Akolo), Gentner (64. Didavi) - Donis (57. Thommy), Mario Gomes.

VfB wants to keep the fortress in Stuttgart invincible

On Saturday, September 1 the VfB Stuttgart will play its first game of the new Bundesleague season at home stadium. A difficult opponent will stand on its way: actual champion Bayern Muenchen. VfB supporters believe in victory, and their numbers are behind their faith. Last season, VfB Stuttgart played 17 games in total at own stadium, won 10 and tied 4, scoring 34 points at home. Thanks to that they were the 3rd team in the Bundesleague with the most games won at home. Player of VfB and their supporters believe that during the freshly-started season they will maintain great form in Stuttgart.

Big game ahead!

On September 1, the VfB Stuttgart will face a great challenge. This will be only the second match of the new Bundesleague season and VfB players will have to fight with the German champion and the favourite to defend the trophy. VfB Stuttgart will play against Bayern München. There aren't too many words needed to describe Bayern. The team of coach Niko Kovac has many great players in its squad like goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, defenders: Matts Hummels and Jerome Boateng, midfielders: Thiago Alcantara, Arjen Robben, James Rodriguez and Leon Goretzka, strikers: Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Mueller. So there's no doubt that the upcoming game will be a tough challenge for the VfB Stuttgart. After a loss in the season-opening game with 1. FSV Mainz, VfB coach Tayfun Korkut points out what his team needs to improve: - The determination, purpose and effectiveness in finishing is something we will continue to work on persistently - explains Turkish coach.

VfB loaned defender Marcin Kamiński Fortuna Düsseldorf

Polish national team defender Marcin Kamiński was loaned from VfB Stuttgart to Fortuna Düsseldorf. The loan deal will be valid until the end of the season. Marcin Kamiński's has also a contract with VfB to the end of 2020/2021 season and in a loan deal with Fortuna, there's no clause allowing Fortuna to buy Kamiński permanently.

Loss with 1. FSV Mainz

This wasn't the dream start of the new Bundesliga season for the VfB Stuttgart. The team lead by coach Tayfun Korkut lost the away match with 1. FSV Mainz. It was a quite narrow loss because the only goal of the game was scored by Ujah in 76 minute of the match. 1. FSV Mainz - VfB Stuttgart 1:0 (0:0). Goal: Ujah (76.) 1. FSV Mainz: Muller - Caricol, Niakhate, Bell, Brosinski - Baku, Gbamin (41. Kunde Malong) - Holtmann (89. Onisiwo), Quaison, De Blasis - Mateta (67. Ujah). VfB Stuttgart: Zieler - Insua (84. Sosa), Badstuber, Pavard, Maffeo - Thommy (80. Akolo), Ascacibar, Castro, Gentner - Gomez, Gonzalez (59. Didavi).

Coach Tayfun Korkut: I have perfect situation

VfB Stuttgart is led by coach Tayfun Korkut. For this 44-year old current personal situation within the team is comfortable. All because of the depth of the squad and, consequently, competition for a place in the first 11. - Every player is touting himself and is a candidate for the starting eleven. I have no problems selecting any one of them from the outset - points out coach Korkut, quoted by the official website of VfB Stuttgart.

Santiago Ascacibar will remain as a player of VfB Stuttgart

21-year old Santiago Ascacibar has extended his contract with VfB Stuttgart until the end of June, 2023. His previous deal was supposed to last a year shorter. German Bundesliga and one assist.

Farewell to the German Cup in the 2018/2019 season
