FutureNet Imperium Katowice

FutureNet Imperium Katowice

Sport teaches that small dreams can lead to the path to great successes. The FutureNet Imperium Katowice women handball team proved that hard work and following the set goal brings awesome results.

In 2018, the FutureNet Imperium Katowice’ women handball team advanced to the Polish 1. league and now there's only one step to be taken to advance to Superleague - the highest in Poland. This success came five years after the foundation of the club and the road  from the lowest league. In the key season, the team went through a league like a storm, winning 17 games in a row. This shows how large was the dominance of the FutureNet Imperium Katowice: it doesn’t happen often to have such a long winning streak.

The team from Katowice also has an idea how to permanently enter the landscape of Polish handball. That's why it trains young players: both boys and girls. The coaches want to raise young, talented players who can get to the Polish national team in the future.

To maintain a good run. FutureNet Imperium faces KS Otmęt Krapkowice

In October 2018, FutureNet Imperium Katowice lost the league game for the last time. Since then, our team has won 9 games in a row. Now is the time to extend this great series. The upcoming round of games opens the door for it, because on Saturday, February 16, FutureNet Imperium will play against KS Otmęt Krapkowice - the last team in the women' handball 1st league in Poland. This is not a good season for KS Otmęt Krapkowice. In 14 matches, the team won only once, has only 3 points and is last in the table. The team lost 456 goals, which is by far the worst result among all 12 teams in the whole league. Agnieszka Blozik, who scored 89 goals in in 14 games, won't lead the team up the table alone, and she can't count on the support of her teammates. That's why it's no wonder that FutureNet Imperium Katowice will be a clear favorite of the match, which will take place this Saturday in Krapkowice. The team from Katowice currently drives an excellent series of 9 wins in a row. Thanks to a very balanced form, FutureNet Imperium gained promotion to the runner-up position in the league on which sits more and more comfortable after each win. FutureNet Imperium has 35 points and loses 7 points to the leader, SPR JKS Jarosław, but has one less match played. In Krapkowice, the team led by the coach Janusz Szymczyk will have a chance to reduce the loss to SPR JKS. There is little time left until the end of the season, so every opportunity to score points must be taken. Between KS Otmęt Krapkowice and FutureNet Imperium is now a very big difference. Therefore, any other result of the Saturday match than the victory of FutureNet Imperium will be a big surprise.

Domination confirmed! FutureNet Imperium Katowice - SPR Sośnica Gliwice 25:21

Domination confirmed! FutureNet Imperium Katowice defeated SPR Sośnica Gliwice 25:21 in the great derby women handball derby of Upper Silesia district, Poland. This match in Katowice was expected with high hopes. FutureNet Imperium is a team of young, ambitious players who are doing very well this season. Defeating Sośnica Gliwice, a titled local rival, would be a great success and als a boost of motivation for the next challenges in the league. FutureNet Imperium coach Janusz Szymczyk expected it to be a difficult match and he was right. It was one of the hardest matches that the team from Katowice played this season. In the 1st half of the match, the fight was very even. The home team was leading, but SPR Sośnica didn't allow our team to build a high advantage and was still sitting on its tail. After the first half, FutureNet Imperium was leading 11: 7 - it was a modest advance and a sign that the 2nd half will also be full of great fight. For a longer time in the second half, FutureNet Imperium maintained modest lead. But players from Gliwice have been working all the time to reduce this loss, and they were close to success. Just a few minutes before the end of the match, Aleksandra Olejarczyk scored 2 goals for SPR and the guest team was losing only 18:20. But then Aleksandra Jaroszewska and Joanna Sermak from FutureNet Imperium took matters into their own hands: each of them scored 2 goals and took their team to a safe distance, and also secured its win. In the team from Katowice, great match was played by Agnieszka Drażyk (7 goals). Aleksandra Jaroszewska added 6 goals, and 5 goals were shot by Joanna Sermak. In the team from Gliwice, Agnieszka Olejarczyk (7 goals) deserves to be distinguished.

Only win! FutureNet Imperium Katowice faces local rival SPR Sośnica Gliwice

FutureNet Imperium Katowice players and fans awaits this match. On Saturday, February 1, our team will face SPR Sośnica Gliwice - its great local rival from the Silesia region in Poland. Sośnica Gliwice is a club that means a lot of women's handball in Poland. Founded in 1951, during the years Sośnica 12 times won the medals of the Polish championships - including three national champion titles. The club from Gliwice also won the Polish Cup several times. What else can be said: this club is an important brand. However, last years weren't easy for the club. In the 2000/2001 season, Sośnica won the vice-championship of Poland, losing the fight for the title woth Montex Lublin. Since then, the team has been getting worse, and in 2007 it fell from Ekstraklasa. A year later, the team won the right to return to the group of the best teams in Poland, but had financial problems and had to stay in the 1st league. The rich history of Sośnica Gliwice adds an extra taste to the match with FutureNet Imperium Katowice. Our team is the exact opposite of its entitled rival. FutureNet Imperium as a club was created just over 5 years ago. So far, its biggest success has been the promotion to the 1st league in which the club plays this season. There are many young players in the FutureNet Imperium who still gain experience under the guidance of the coach-veteran Janusz Szymczyk. So we'll have an interesting match between young team, hungry successes with a entitled team, which, however, has its glory far behind it. This season, FutureNet Imperium - despite being a freshman - is doing very well. Our team has 32 points and is the vice-leader of the league, trailing to leading SPR JKS Jarosław with just 4 points. On the other hand, SPR Sośnica Gliwice ranks 7th and has 21 points. The team from Gliwice is a typical average - it's not likely that it will be promoted higher, but it also shouldn't be worried league will either be threatened. Team results are average, but one of the players from Sośnica rises above the league. Aleksandra Abramowicz, who scored 89 goals in 11 games, has a place among the best players in the league. In October 2018, both teams faced in Gliwice. It was one of the better matches of FutureNet Imperium this season, won by our team 23:23 after a very hard fight. Will this success be repeated in Katowice? We believe in it!

MTS Żory – FutureNet Imperium Katowice 20:31. Great run of our team!

The winning series of FutureNet Imperium Katowice goes on! On Saturday, January 19, our team beat MTS Żory 31:20 and maintained its series without loss to 8 games. As it was predicted, match in Żory was completely one-sided in favor of FutureNet Imperium. MTS Żory was able to keep up with our team for only a few minutes, to score 3:4. Later, the FutureNet Imperium Katowice threw a higher gear and gradually increased its lead. Until the break, the team from Katowice was leading by 16:10 and it was clear that the hosts practically lost their chances of winning. After the break the conditions on the pitch hasn't changed. FutureNet Imperium consistently increased the lead until the end of the match, setting the final score at 31:20. This means that in Żory our team did even better in its own hall, where FutureNet Imperium won 31:22. Paulina Łuczyk (11 goals) had a big share in this victory, and Wiktoria Kosimowska (5 goals) provided good support. For the hosts, Bożena Pietrzak (8 goals) scored the most goals. In Żory, FutureNet Imperium won the 11th time this season. Our team has 32 points and loses 4 points to the leader, SPR JKS Jarosław. FutureNet Imperium Katowice also maintains a safe lead over the third team in the table, UKS Varsovia Warsaw.

The chase continues. FutureNet Imperium faces MTS Żory

Very even fight for the first place in the 1st women handball league table in Poland continues! FutureNet Imperium Katowice chases the leader, currently JKS SPR Jarosław. On Saturday, January 19, our team will face MTS Żory in an away game, and thanks to the victory can clearly reduce its loss to the leader. This will be the second meeting of both teams this season. In September 2018, FutureNet Imperium and MTS Żory played together for the first time, and our team clearly won 31:22. It was one of the better FutureNet Imperium games this season. Now the time has come for a rematch. However, it's hard to expect that the home team will be able to seriously threat the guests from Katowice. There's a deep gap between both teams when it comes to the position in the table. FutureNet Imperium is the runner-up, has 29 points and is chasing the leader, SPR JKS Jarosław. MTS Żory is in second place, but from the end. The nearest rival of our team won only 2 matches out ot 11 and completed only 6 points. So it's clear who will be the favorite of Saturday's game. In the team of MTS Żory, usually it's Zuzanna Mikosz who mostly takes responsibilty for the team's offence. So far, she has scored 69 goals and holds 11th place is currently 11th place in the classification of the league's best shooters. In the offensive game, she can rely on the support provided by Nicola Romanowska (54 goals). What is worth emphasizing, Mikosz and Romanowska scored together 123 goals from 273 of the whole team. This is an element that future FutureNet Imperium players will have to pay a lot attention to.

FutureNet Imperium Katowice beat UKS Varsovia after penalty kicks!

What a game! For the first time this season, FutureNet Imperium Katowice needed extra time to win. Our team defeated UKS Varsovia Warsaw 4:2 after a penalty kicks series. After the regular time of the match, it was tied 26:26 and it was FutureNet Imperium to handle better this game of nerves. At the beginning of September 2018, right after the start of the season, FutureNet Imperium went to Warsaw to face local team UKS Varsovia. It was the 3rd match of our team in the season and finished poorly - with a loss. UKS Varsovia won that game narrowly, 29:26. When our team was traveling back home, players and coaches had a lot to think. After three games of the season, FutureNet Imperium was down in the table with just one draw and two losses. A few months later, FutureNet Imperium Katowice moved forward thanks to giant amount of hard work and determination. Since September, our team has lost only one game, in October against JKS SPR Jarosław. On Saturday, January 12, our team met UKS Varsovia Warsaw again and took revenge for the loss in September. But it was the most difficult game throughout the entire season. From the first whistle of the referee, the game was flowing and none of the teams was able to build any significant advantage. The first half belonged to FutureNet Imperium - our team went back to the locker room with a result 13:11. In the second half, things on the pitch didn't change. The game was held in a blow-by-blow rhytm but when it was close to 58th minute, things turned to be dangerous for our team. After a goal scored by Natalia Droznikowska, UKS Varsovia took a 24:23 lead! The hosts managed to return to the lead but in one of the last actions of the regular game time, Magdalena Jarosiewicz from UKS Varsovia scored and tied the game to 26:26. And it became obvious: a penalty kicks series was needed to determine the winner. In the additional time, when there was additional stress and tension, our team handled the pressure better than its opponent. FutureNet Imperium players' scored 4 times from the penalty kick line and the rivals managed to score only twice. Final result: 26-26 in regular time, 4:2 in penalty kick series. It's worth to mention that our team played without its best shooter, Katarzyna Sadowska. But even though, other players did their job and replaced her. Aleksandra Jaroszewska (10 goals) and Paulina Łuczyk (7 goals) deserve a special distinction for their performance. In the UKS Varsovia, Magdalena Jarosiewicz (6 goals) and Natalia Zawadzka (6 goals) were the top scorers.

FutureNet Imperium Katowice welcomes the new year with a tough game ahead

The first match in 2019 and a strong hit straight away. On Saturday, January 12, FutureNet Imperium Katowice will face UKS Varsovia Warsaw in a match between 2nd and 3rd team in the league's table. FutureNet Imperium is currently a runner-up, trailing with only 3 points to SPR JKS Jarosław - the team which sits on the leader's chair. Our team wants to knock down SPR JKS from this comfortable position and replace it. But with current loss of points, it will take some time for sure. There's also one more condition: FutureNet Imperium must maintain its great series of 6 wins in a row and hope that the rival from the city of Jarosław will stumble sometime as the league goes on. As they say in sports, you're as good as your last game was and you build your team spirit when you win with the strong opponents. All these popular truths will be checked during the Saturday's game against UKS Varsovia Warsaw. It's a team which currently has 24 points and holds the 3rd place in the table. The team from Warsaw also dreams about promotion to the higher league and in Katowice will do a lot to avoid the loss. It's also worth to mention that UKS Varsovia is distinguished by the way how it plays in the offence. So far, the team has scored 64 goals and it's the second best result in the league. When you compare it with 47 goals of FutureNet Imperium, you'll see that this team has a lot of offensive potentials. It means that defensive players of our team will have a lot of hard work to do in this game to slow down the opponent' shooting force. UKS Varsovia Warsaw has one of the best players of the season in its ranks. Aleksandra Dronzikowska has scored 57 goals so far - only one less than Katarzyna Sadowska from FutureNet Imperium Katowice. The clash between sharp shooters will be another important context of Saturday's game.

Sixth win in a row of FutureNet Imperium Katowice!

An impressive run of FutureNet Imperium Katowice continues! Our handball team won the 6th game in a row, this time defeating WKPR Wesoła Warszawa 31:20. In 2018, FutureNet Imperium hasn't lost even once in its own hall! In this match, the victory of the FutureNet Empire wasn't threatened for a moment. WKPR Warsaw players only in the first minutes were able to resist the opponent. But as the game rolled on, FutureNet Imperium increased the advantage. Our team led 15:7 until the break and it became clear that the guest team would need a miracle to even tie the game. In the second part of the match, the game was a bit more even but still FutureNet Imperium confidently controlled the events on the pitch. The hosts threw 16 goals, and the team from Warsaw played a bit better in the attack and hit 13 times. However, fatal first half turned out to be crucial for the victory of the team from Katowice. FutureNet Imperium didn't hinder even due the lack of four injured players, including the best shooter Katarzyna Sadowska.

To win and catch the leader! FutureNet Imperium Katowice faces TS MKS San Jarosław

The first part of the season in the first women's handball league in Poland is coming to an end. FutureNet Empire Katowice is playing better and better and has a chance to become a leader. The condition is one: defeat TS MKS San Jarosław. On Sunday, December 9, FutureNet Imperium will play in Jarosław with local team TS MKS San. The host of Sundays' game is doing badly this season. FutureNet Imperium rivals won only 2 out of 9 matches and now holds 10th place among 12 teams. The team loses a lot of goals: 233 so far, which is one of the worst results in the league. It's worth to pay attention to 2 players of MKS San. The first one is Wiktoria Kostuch, who has already scored 56 goals and is one of the best shooters in the league. This result is better by 2 goals than the one that has been developed so far by the best FutureNet Imperium scorer, Katarzyna Sadowska. Wiktoria can count on support of Natalia Majerczyk-Paśnik, who has 26 goals. They are the players on whom the defense of FutureNet Imperium must focus strongly on Sunday's match. FutureNet Imperium travels to Jarosław with big hopes. The team is recently on a rising wave, presents an equal form and wins. The effects can be seen in the table. Team from Katowice has 21 points and holds 3rd place, but trails with only 3 points to the leader. UKS Varsovia Warsaw is one place above FutureNet in the table and it stands flush with the points. Therefore, a possible win in Jarosław may give FutureNet Imperium an impressive promotion to the top.

Their turf. FutureNet Imperium Katowice - MKS AZS UMCS LUBLIN 27:23

Players from FutureNet Imperium Katowice haven’t lost a match on their home turf for 14 MONTHS! That’s an amazing feat worthy of the greatest teams. This time they clashed with MKS AZS UMCS Lublin and what a fight it was. The first half was quite calm and ended with a 12:12 tie. But the second one was fierce. Both teams played quite rough which resulted in many yellow or red cards and temporary ejections. The captain of our team, Katarzyna Sadowska, also injured her ankle joint. It is very unfortunate that this great team, filled with talented players, has been plagued with injuries this season. FutureNet Imperium Katowice played a really tough game against a relentless opponent. Moreover, they had to face them without their captain. It was a test of their physical and psychological strength. However, they passed it with flying colors and won the game 27:23. The whole team is motivated and ready for more action on their way for the title!

FutureNet Imperium Katowice – newbie with a great results

After 8 games of the season, the biggest surprise of the 1 women’s handball league in Poland is the FutureNet Imperium Katowice team. The team which is a total newbie plays without complexes and currently ranks high, on 3rd place in the table. FutureNet Imperium Katowice is a club established only 5 years ago. Its’ also ambitious team which sets new goals every year and achieves them. Last season, the club from Katowice achieved its greatest success so far: promotion to the first handball league of women in Poland. The team from Katowice hasn’t played in so high league yet, and as you know, from the height sometimes you can get a headache. However, the team from Katowice have already proved that is mature and talented enough to deal with such a high level of competition. After reinforcements before the season, FutureNet Imperium is playing solidly, not like the league’s total newbie. Effect? 6 wins in 8 games, third place, only three points of loss to the leader. – Like every professional team before, we set ourselves goals before the season. We certainly didn’t want to just be in this league, but to fight and to do our best here. And the goals won’t be realized by themselves, obviously. Our results are a result of work, character, motivation and hard work on trainings. As you can see from the table position, our players have it all – says Michał Tyl, president of FutureNet Imperium Katowice. In the FutureNet Imperium team, all players and coaches do a great job. And it leads to into individual statistics. Katarzyna Sadowska, the best scorer of the team, has 50 goals! In addition, Paulina Łuczyk has scored 26 goals so far, and Aleksandra Jaroszewska 25. These numbers show one of the most important truths in team sports: in the team the ball has to circulate, the players must understand each other and its roles, then everything is like clockwork and it’s easier for everyone.

Third win in a row of FutureNet Imperium Katowice!

The 3rd victory in the row of the FutureNet Imperium Katowice team! On Saturday, November 17, our team had a very difficult away match with SPR Olkusz. It wasn’t a favorite, but won 28:27! During the summer preseason time, FutureNet Imperium played twice with SPR Olkusz in sparring matches. At that time, it never managed to win: once the SPR won, the second match ended in a draw. Therefore, before the match on Saturday the FutureNet Imperium players expected a difficult task. And these predictions have been easily confirmed. From the first whistle of the referee, the match in Olkusz was very even. However, dll the time the FutureNet Imperium had the advantage and for most of the time of the first half maintained a safe distance and led by several goals. In the second half things started to be hot. The team from Katowice lost the two best shooting players. Paulina Łuczyk and Katarzyna Sadowska got two yellow cards, and as a result they were red and had to return to the locker room. Our team also made a few mistakes, through which lost 4-goals advantage. Just before the end of the game, SPR Olkusz reduced the loss to 2 goals. However, our team didn’t lose the cold blood and maintained the victory 28:27.

Open road to the top of the table. FutureNet Imperium Katowice vs. SPR Olkusz

2 matches - 2 wins, including one in a difficult one played abroad. FutureNet Imperium Katowice is getting better all the time. On Saturday, November 17, the team will have the opportunity to confirm this in the another away match, this time against SPR Olkusz. At first - hardly earned win against MKS Olimpia-Beskid Nowy Sącz 25:23, then a great victory 29:19 in Warsaw with AZS AWF - the last series of FutureNet Imperium is quite impressive. The team from Katowice plays their first season at such a high level of competition, but doesn't look like a typical newbie. The team of coach Janusz Szymczyk' from the match to the match matures, gains experience and becomes an increasingly difficult rival to overcome. After 7 games, FutureNet Imperium Katowice has won 5 and has 15 points. Thanks to this, our team takes 4th place in the table. But the team from the second (SPR Sośnica Gliwice) and third place (UKS Varsovia Warsaw) also have 15 points, and the balance of goals scored and lost is decisive. That's why in the match against SPR Olkusz, FutureNet Imperium will stand a good chance. If rivals lose their points and our team wins, then it can even reach the position of the vice-leader of the 1st women's handball league!

Away win? No problem! AZS AWF Warsaw - FutureNet Imperium Katowice 19:29

FutureNet Imperium still develops and is a team more and more dangerous for rivals. Our team defeated AZS AWF Warsaw 29:19 and grabbed a very valuable victory in the away match. Before the meeting in the capital of Poland, both teams were close together in the table. So it was clear that both AZS AWF and FutureNet Imperium would do a lot to win. A set of points would be valuable for the hosts because thanks to it, they could reduce the loss to the table’s top teams. And for FutureNet Imperium the victory would be aso valuable, because thanks to it the position in the upper part of the table would become more certain. The first half of the match in Warsaw was even. FutureNet Imperium was better by blink of an eye led only 11:9 before the second half. The second part of the match was much better for the guests. FutureNet Imperium played great in offence and shot 18 goals. The team from Katowice also showed a piece of a decent defense game and allowed the opponent to score only 10 goals. A strong defensive was the key to winning an important away match.

FutureNet Imperium clashes with AZS AWF Warsaw

Season in the Polish 1st women’s handball league is speeding up, and the teams in the table are slowly dividing into groups: favorites and those slightly weaker. FutureNet Imperium will have a chance to sit even more comfortable at the forefront of the table. There is one condition: our team must defeat AZS AWF in Warsaw. Before the match in the Polish capitol, FutureNet Imperium holds 5th place in the table and has 12 points. AZS AWF has 8 points and is on the 6th position. It’s also worth to point out that the same number of points as the team from Katowice have two other teams: UKS Varsovia Warsaw and MKS AZS UMCS Lublin. So then, if FutureNet Imperium wins in Warsaw, it jump up in the table. But the AZS AWF’ loss to the top teams in the table is not to big. So the host team must win with FutureNet Imperium to shorten its distance. Two players of the team from Warsaw need additional attention. Patrycja Kozak has scored 39 goals in 5 games and is one of the best offensive players in the league. Katarzyna Pożoga added 22 goals in 5 games. If this duo will be healthy and play on Saturday, FutureNet Imperium defense will have be very cerful and don’t leave them too much space to shoot.

Great win of FutureNet Imperium Katowice!

And that’s what we call a hard-earned victory! FutureNet Imperium Katowice defeated MKS Olimpia-Beskid Nowy Sącz 25:23. The result of the match weighed until the last minutes. Our players left a lot of health and strength in this match. MKS Olimpia-Beskid Nowy Sącz set very difficult conditions. We expected this because there are no easy points in the league, and everyone wants to show their best side. And the team from Nowy Sącz showed how what this toughness mean on the pitch. From the beginning of the match in Katowice the score was waving, none of the teams could build a significant advantage. But at some point, the FutureNet Empire began fly away to a safer distance and led even 17:12. However, the visiting team didn’t give up. Players from Nowy Sacz fought hard for a draw, they also improved their defense game. And it paid off: when there was 50 minute of the game, MKS Olimpia-Beskid went on the lead with one goal! It was a serious alarm bell for the team from Katowice. From that moment, the game of nerves began. Ultimately, it was the FutureNet Imperium Katowice that withstood the pressure. When there was a tie 22:22, our team shot three goals, lost only one and secured a victory.

FutureNet Imperium Katowice returns to the league duties

After 2 weeks of break in the competition, FutureNet Imperium Katowice women handball team wil return to the pitch. On Saturday, November 3, our team faces MKS Olimpia-Beskid Nowy Sącz. Before the match in Katowice, both teams have very diffrent starting position. FutureNet Imperium currently has 9 points and is the third strength of the 1st women's Polish handball league. On the other hand, MKS Olimpia-Beskid is doing poorly this season. In five games it won only once, has 4 points and takes 10th place in the table. As you can see, FutureNet Imperium Katowice clearly will be the favorite of this match. MKS Olimpia-Beskid has two advantages on which players from Katowice have to watch out for. This is Agnieszka Leśniak and Karolina Płachta. The first players mentioned scored 35 goals in 5 games, and the second one 33. As you can count, both players have 68 goals in total out of 123 which have been scored by the whole MKS Olimpia-Beskid so far. Leśniak and Płachta are therefore the strength of MKS Olimpia-Beskid and FutureNet Imperium must stop one of them (and preferably both) to ensure victory in the Saturday match.

Our team clashes with SPR Sośnica Gliwice in the final of Polish Cup - Silesian regional stage. This match will have big stake. The winner will secure the right to play in the national stage of the women' handball Polish Cup. That's why we can expect that this won't be an easy meeting for FutureNet Imperium. For the simple reason - the winner takes everything, the loser will go home with nothing. Both teams have already met this season. A few weeks ago, they stood against each other in Gliwice. SPR was the favorite of that meeting but the FutureNet Imperium came out with a win. It's a good sign before the Thursday match. The Polish Cup match between SPR Sośnica Gliwice and FutureNet Imperium Katowice will be played on Thursday, October 25, start at 5 p.m.

Sometimes it's a win, sometimes it's a loss

The women handball team FutureNet Imperium Katowice has been like on a rollercoaster recently. The team won one imporant game and just a few days later had to settle with a clear loss. On Thursday, October 18, FutureNet Imperium Katowice played against Zgoda Ruda Śląska - Bielszowice. It was a semi-final of Polish Cup, regional stage. Our team gave a great performance, showed great skills and beat the rival in a convincing way 32:22. Both teams have already met and FutureNet Imperium came back home from this match with 3 points after winning in Gliwice. On Saturday, October 20, our team returned to its usual job in the league. And it has a very tough challenge to face. FutureNet Imperium went to the city of Jarosław to clash with league's leader: SPR JKS Jarosław. It was easy to predict that win of our team would be a surprise. And it doesn't happed. SPR JKS won 33:20 which is a very clear win. But despite this loss, FutureNet Imperium Katowice managed to stay on the 3rd place in the league's table.

Impressive victory of FutureNet Imperium Katowice!

It was not just a victory, it's a real crush! FutureNet Imperium Katowice defeated KS Otmęt Krapkowice 29:10. Thanks to this win, the team from Katowice jumped into the second place in table of women's handball first league in Poland. KS Otmęt Krapkowice came to Katowice as the last team in the league, without a victory in three matches. On the other hand, FutureNet Imperium previously proved its groving shape - especially by winning in Gliwiach with SPR Sośnica, one of the favorites of the entire league. So it was easy to predict that the team from Katowice will probably win this match. There were no surprises. FutureNet Imperium Katowice left no hope for its rivals. From the beginning of the match the hosts dominated on the pitch, having an advantage in every aspect of the game. Until the break, FutureNet Imperium Katowice led 14:6. It was clear that only a miracle could help the guests' players. But miracles do not happen, so after the break the hosts dominated even more. Eventually, FutureNet Imperium Katowice outclassed KS Otmęt Krapkowice 29:10!

FutureNet Imperium Katowice will jump into the league’s podium?

After three series of games in Polish first league of women handball, it’s very tight at top of the table. Several teams have 6 points and if they win in the upcoming round, they may jump into higher place. And it opens a big chance for FutureNet Imperium Katowice. Before the next match, our team has 6 points and before round 4 of games holds 5th place in league’s table. What’s the most important is that FutureNet Imperium Katowice trails with just 3 points to the leader, SPR JKS Jarosław. So the picture is clear: if FutureNet win its next game, it may upgrade its position in the league. But there’s one and obvious condition: win with KS Otmęt Krapkowice. The next rival of FutureNet Imperium Katowice had a bad start of the season. Three games, three loses, 102 goals lost and last place in the league… It’s not the beginning which was expected by players and staff of the club from Krapkowice. In Katowice, KS Otmęt will try to break its weak series. But FutureNet Imperium Katowice proved its growing form with convincing and remarkable win win SPR Sośnica Gliwice on its playground. That’s why any result other than win of FutureNet Imperium will be a big surprise.

In previous three matches, the entire team from Katowice scored 80 goals in total - and of 22 of them were shot by Katarzyna Sadowska (player with number 2 on the picture above). Her current average is impressive: over 7 goals per match and almost a quarter of the entire team's achievements. Thanks to a great shooting form, Katarzyna Sadowska is currently in 5th place in the classification for the best shooter in the 1st handball league of women in Poland.

Great win of FutureNet Imperium Katowice!

That's what we call character! FutureNet Imperium Katowice women handball team scored a very important victory by defeating SPR Sośnica Gliwice 23:22. The girls from Katowice proved better than one of the favorites in the league! SPR Sośnica Gliwice is a team that is indicated as a surety for promotion to the PGE Superleague. This is a strong team, and in addition it played with FutureNet Imperium Katowice on its own pitch. So it was going clearly to be a difficult competition for players from Katowice. And true - it really went that way but it was not the favorite who came home with a victory. It was a very even match. None of the teams was able to build a big advantage. In the middle of the game, SPR Sośnica Gliwice was leading by three goals and it seemed that it will hold it until the final whistle. But ambitious girls from the FutureNet Imperium didn't give up. At the very end of the match it was also hot, because the hosts were leading by 22:20. From that moment, FutureNet Imperium played great defense, didn't lose any more goals and added three to its scoring board. And thanks to this FutureNet Imperium Katowice won with SPR Sośnica Gliwice 23:22!

On Saturday, October 5, FutureNet Imperium Katowice will play its third game of the season. This time, players from the team will face a tough challenge. SPR Sośnica Gliwice, which has yet to be beaten, waits for FutureNet Imperium. Two games, two wins, 69 goals scored, 49 lost - these numbers show that SPR Sośnica Gliwice is a well-balanced team, solid both in the attack and on the defensive. That's why this team is still unbeaten. In the first series of games, SPR Sośnica Gliwice beat MKS Olimpia-Beskid Nowy Sącz 30:21. A week later it scored next win, this time in Warsaw against AZS-AWF - this match was finished with 36:28 for SPR Sośnica.
