FutureNet Śląsk Wrocław has signed a new, experienced player

Half the season is behind us, so it’s time to strengthen up the team. FutureNet Śląsk Wrocław decided to reach for an experienced basketball player, who should help the team in the second part of the competition. Power forward Mateusz Jarmakowicz has signed a contract with FutureNet Śląsk for the remaining months of the season.

The new player of FutureNet Śląsk is 30-years-old and 208 cm tall. He can play as a power forward or a centre. Mateusz Jarmakowicz is a player with a lot of experience in Polish basketball. He began his adventure in 2007, when he played in Turów Zgorzelec. In the following years he was a player of such a clubs as Zastal Zielona Góra, AZS Koszalin, Rosa Radom, Czarne Słupsk, Polpharma Starogard Gdańsk, Polish Sugar Toruń and Legia Warsaw. His last club was Elektrobud-Investment ZB Pruszków, with whom he parted in May 2018. Since then, he has been a free agent.

Now he has signed a contract with FutureNet Śląsk and is starting his second adventure with a club from Wrocław. He played here in 2015 and scored almost 8 points and 3 rebounds per game. In the team of coach Radosław Hyży, he is supposed to support young talented players: Aleksander Dziewa and Karol Michałek, and support the team with their rich experience.

– My goal is to win promotion with FutureNet Śląsk. I can’t imagine another scenario. In the next season, I see myself in the first league. It seems to me that for the sake of my career, this should be the last season in the lower class – says Mateusz Jarmakowicz, the new player of FutureNet Śląsk Wrocław.
